Following the tragic death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne on October 16, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has returned to the United States to rebuild her life. Payne, 30, passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, leaving behind a legacy and a lifestyle that had significantly influenced Cassidy’s daily life.
According to reports from Page Six, Payne had supported Cassidy’s lavish lifestyle, covering $10,000 in monthly expenses and granting her unlimited access to his credit card, which she used for shopping trips totaling up to $25,000 monthly. Cassidy also enjoyed the services of Payne’s stylist, Adele Kany, for her wardrobe needs, all funded by the singer.
Photos captured by Daily Mail showed a somber Cassidy leaving her London apartment as a friend helped load her luggage for her move back to the US. A close friend revealed, “Kate has money of her own from social media partnerships, so she’s not broke. However, her lifestyle will be significantly different without Liam’s financial support.”
Payne’s will has yet to be publicly disclosed, but Cassidy reportedly has no plans to claim any part of his estate, as they were unmarried and Payne is survived by his 7-year-old son, Bear, with former partner Cheryl. “She says she won’t claim anything because Liam’s son comes first,” Cassidy’s friend shared.
