Kelly Clarkson’s 8-Year-Old Son Remy Playfully Shades Her About His Viral My Way Cover

Kelly Clarkson’s son, Remy, had a hilariously sassy reaction after his singing talent went viral.

Back in November, the eight-year-old impressed the world when a clip of him singing Frank Sinatra’s My Way on The Kelly Clarkson Show racked up over a million views. In a new segment from the show, aired on January 8, Clarkson, 42, asked her son how he felt about his sudden online fame.

With a cheeky grin, Remy responded, “Yeah, how many views did I get again?” His quick-witted reply had both his mom and the audience in stitches.

Clarkson then shared a funny moment between them, recalling how she excitedly told her son that his video had hit over a million views. His response? “Do you get that many views?” she laughed, admitting, “I was like, ‘Calm down—and not often.’”

This wasn’t Remy’s first time in the spotlight. In August 2023, at just seven years old, he joined his mom on stage at her Las Vegas show at Planet Hollywood, dancing along as she performed her hit Whole Lotta Woman. Later that night, his big sister, River, also took the stage to sing Heartbeat Song with Clarkson, much to the audience’s delight.

According to Clarkson, these on-stage moments weren’t her idea—her kids actually requested to join her. She shares both children with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, whom she divorced in 2020 after seven years of marriage. Following their split, Clarkson relocated to New York City, where she juggles her talk show and motherhood.

A source told People in December that Clarkson is fully dedicated to her children and career, saying, “Kelly kind of lives in a bubble. She’s all about the kids and work.”
