Kunal Kemmu recently talked about the difficult moment when he found out about the attack on his brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan. The shocking news came on January 16 at 6 a.m. while Kunal and his wife, Soha Ali Khan, were getting their daughter, Innaya, ready for school.
Kunal had to tell Soha about the attack, and it was a hard thing to do. “The first thing was, is Saif okay? Once we knew he was out of danger, nothing else mattered,” Kunal said in an interview with ANI. Saif had been stabbed several times during an attack at his home in Bandra by a masked person who broke into his son’s room demanding money.
Kunal shared how strange it felt to have this news while trying to stick to their normal routine. “I had this information and nothing else. Should I send my daughter to school or not? Those thoughts were racing through my mind,” Kunal said. Despite the fear and worry, they decided to send Innaya to school, but they couldn’t stop thinking about Saif.
After learning the full details, Kunal and Soha focused on supporting Saif, who was hospitalized for surgery after the attack. Even though it was a tough time, the family is sticking together and helping Saif recover.
