Lady Gaga celebrated Die With a Smile reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have officially claimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with their hit Die With a Smile! The song reached No. 1 on January 6, and Gaga wasted no time thanking her fans.

“Thank you to all of the monsters and hooligans for helping make Die With a Smile #1 on Billboard Hot 100! We love you and are so grateful,” she wrote on Instagram, shouting out both her and Mars’ fanbases.

She also took a moment to reflect on a major career milestone—having No. 1 hits across three decades. “Having multiple songs of mine hit #1 across three decades feels surreal, and I am overwhelmed by the love and support you have shown me from the beginning,” she shared. “I have so much more in store for you and can’t wait to share it.”

Gaga’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers span the 2000s (Just Dance, Poker Face), the 2010s (Born This Way, Shallow), and now the 2020s (Rain on Me, Die With a Smile). The latest track, a soft rock anthem, explores themes of love and longing, with both artists belting:

“If the world was ending, I’d wanna be next to you / If the party was over, and our time on Earth was through / I’d wanna hold you, just for a while / And die with a smile.”

Following Die With a Smile, Gaga released Disease in October 2024, both of which will be featured on her upcoming seventh studio album.
