YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has sparked controversy over an inappropriate remark made during his appearance on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Lyricist and writer Manoj Muntashir strongly condemned Ranveer’s statement, calling it a threat to moral values.
On Monday, Manoj took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a video from the show, criticizing the content. He wrote, “This is the level of comedy that has degraded humanity. Viruses more dangerous than COVID have entered our mobile phones. These vampires, these perverts, have taken a pledge to strip our future generations of values.” He further urged the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to take immediate action against those involved, warning parents about the negative impact of such content.
Social media reactions were divided. Some supported Manoj’s stance, calling Ranveer’s remark “shameless” and “vulgar.” One user commented, “This needs to stop immediately.” However, others reminded Manoj of the controversial dialogues he wrote for Adipurush. A user stated, “You have no right to criticize when you yourself wrote derogatory dialogues for Adipurush.”
The controversy arose from a viral clip where Ranveer asked a contestant an inappropriate hypothetical question. The episode, featuring content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija as judges, has received widespread criticism for its offensive content.
