Matthew McConaughey reveals he has not spent more than nine days away from wife Camila Alves since they married

In a new interview, Matthew McConaughey, 53, stated that he hasn’t spent more than nine days away from his wife Camila Alves, 41, since they married. The actor spoke with Katherine Schwarzenegger at a Live Talk event in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday and got emotional while revealing how close he and his wife are, according to the Daily Mail. During the heartwarming moment, he was talking about his debut children’s book, Just Because.

Aside from praising Camila and their relationship, the actor, who wore a white T-shirt, jeans, and brown boots on stage, revealed that when their three children, Levi, 15, Vida, 13, and Livingston, 10, are older, he wants them to consider him not only their father but also a “best friend.” The wish made the crowd melt and they applauded the actor.

Matthew has been enjoying the release of his new book, Just Because, which came out on September 12th, while he and Camila continue to enjoy their wonderful marriage. He as of late told ABC News that his three children inspired him to write the children’s picture book, which is filled with life lessons.

“I’ve got three children. So you start to, I think every parent knows, you start to see life through the lens of having children, and you start to think that way,” he said. “And this came to me in a dream one night, and I thought it was really like a Bob Dylan ditty of a song and it had this little meter in my mind, and I was dreaming to it.”
