Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show and Podcast Delayed

It seems Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated return to Netflix and podcasting has hit a roadblock. Earlier this month, her Netflix series With Love, Meghan—where she would host and cook for her wealthy celebrity friends—was pushed back from its original January 15 premiere date to March 4. The reason? The Los Angeles wildfires. While not exactly the biggest crisis of the year, it was still a blow for fans eagerly awaiting the show.

But if you were hoping to at least get new episodes of her podcast Archetypes in the meantime, there’s more bad news. According to Hello!, the fires have also caused delays for the podcast, meaning Meghan’s content drought continues.

For those who missed it, Markle originally launched Archetypes on Spotify in 2022, featuring conversations with high-profile women about the stereotypes and societal challenges they face. However, in June 2023, she and Spotify parted ways, reportedly on mutual terms—but behind-the-scenes reports suggested tensions, with Spotify employees calling the experience “painful” and “really awful.”

After leaving Spotify, Markle found a new home for the show at Lemonada Media, which re-released the first season on multiple podcast platforms. Then, on January 6, 2025, Lemonada’s official Instagram teased new episodes of their shows, including Archetypes. Naturally, this led fans to believe season two was on its way—until the latest news confirmed it’s now delayed, too.

Interestingly, a second season was never officially announced, so the podcast could have been postponed internally without anyone noticing. But in today’s world, where fans are quick to react to any mention of a “delay,” keeping things quiet might not have been a viable strategy.

PR expert Riley Gardiner recently weighed in on Markle’s media presence, advising her to maintain regular social media engagement to build anticipation for With Love, Meghan. “Silence is more of a brand killer than a strategy,” he explained, suggesting weekly posts that are “authentic but not too self-indulgent.”

Perhaps, in line with this strategy, Markle’s team decided to make the podcast delay public rather than quietly pushing it back. Or maybe there’s another reason altogether—some have speculated that Lemonada Media could be reconsidering their partnership with Markle, much like Spotify did.

A Vanity Fair report on Harry and Meghan’s business ventures revealed that working with Markle at Spotify wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. Employees described the experience as “really awful” and even claimed some colleagues took extended leave or needed therapy after working with her. If similar issues are brewing at Lemonada, the podcast delay might not just be about wildfires—it could signal a more significant shift.

For now, Markle’s fans will have to wait a little longer for both her Netflix show and podcast. Whether these delays are just a bump in the road or a sign of bigger problems remains to be seen.
