Mithun Chakraborty’s wallet stolen by pickpocketers while campaigning for BJP in Jharkhand

Ahead of the state assembly elections in Jharkhand, actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty spent Tuesday campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in Dhanbad. According to Live Hindustan, he immediately found himself in a difficult predicament after realising that his wallet had been taken from his pocket while he was at a roadshow.

The people was urged to return the actor-politician’s pocketbook after he told other BJP leaders about the defeat. The appeal’s video has received a lot of social media shares. The Jharkhand Mukti Morch (JMM) made fun of the BJP for the incident through its Jamtara unit.

They shared the viral video on X with the caption, “Dear BJP supporters, at least spare your own leaders. Mithun Chakraborty came to campaign for BJP, and someone picked his pocket. What an amazing family.

Earlier on Monday, Mithun Chakraborty led a major roadshow in the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. The wife of former chief minister Arjun Munda, Meera Munda, was the BJP candidate he endorsed in the Potka constituency.
