Netflix has dropped new details about Bridgerton season 4, sparking excitement among fans

On February 14, 2025, Netflix shared an exciting sneak peek of Bridgerton season 4, offering fans a first look at what’s to come. The trailer features returning stars like Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, along with some thrilling behind-the-scenes moments. A key highlight is the focus on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), who has significant scenes in the season. Fans will see her alongside her husband, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), as well as at a masquerade ball next to Queen Charlotte, sparking plenty of curiosity about her role in the new season.

Season 4 shifts its spotlight to Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the second son of the Bridgerton family. As Netflix’s official logline reveals, Benedict struggles with the idea of settling down, despite his brothers’ marriages. However, his perspective changes when he meets the mysterious Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball. Thompson described the storyline as a “twist on Cinderella,” blending romance, magic, and relatability.

The season will also see the return of Kate and Anthony Bridgerton (Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey), the beloved couple from season 2. Their return was confirmed by showrunner Jess Brownell during the Bridgerton: Season of Love 2025 Fan Event, where it was revealed that they would showcase more of their marital bliss, including a glimpse of their baby.

Season 4 is based on Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, which centers on the romance between Benedict and Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha. Filming for season 4 began in September 2024 and is set to wrap in April 2025. Although Netflix hasn’t set an official release date, Bridgerton season 4 is expected to premiere in 2026.
