The Hollywood community has been deeply shaken by the passing of renowned filmmaker David Lynch, and actress Patricia Arquette recently shared her heartfelt thoughts on the late director.
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Arquette recalled her experience at the Marrakech Film Festival, where she learned of Lynch’s death just hours after it happened. She explained that she had been discussing Lynch with her group, which prompted her to call her friend Balthazar Getty, saying, “We gotta go see David.” Arquette added that she had a strong feeling she needed to meet with him and had even tried to leave a message for him, but sadly, it was too late.
Describing Lynch as “incredible” and unlike anyone else, Arquette reflected on their collaboration in the 1997 neo-noir thriller Lost Highway. In the film, Arquette portrayed two distinct roles, including a woman involved in a mysterious and unsettling story with a jazz musician, and a femme fatale entangled in deceit involving a mechanic and a gangster.
