Ruaridh Mollica has been announced to star alongside Paul Bettany

Ruaridh Mollica, a rising star in Hollywood, has landed a role in the much-anticipated Disney+ series, Vision—a spinoff of Marvel’s WandaVision. He will be joining Paul Bettany, who reprises his role as the titular character, alongside other returning and new cast members.

For those unfamiliar, Vision’s journey in the MCU has been anything but straightforward. Initially killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), he was later brought back in WandaVision—though not as the same Vision fans once knew. The upcoming series will focus on his struggle to regain his memory and humanity following the events of WandaVision.

According to Deadline, Ruaridh Mollica will portray a character named Tucker. The Scottish-Italian actor has been making waves in the industry, notably for his recurring role in HBO’s The Franchise. He also earned a British Independent Film Award nomination for his work in Sebastian, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Mollica will be in good company, as James Spader, Todd Stashwick, and Faran Tahir are also joining the project.

  • James Spader, familiar to Marvel fans, voiced Ultron—the AI villain created by Tony Stark in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
  • Faran Tahir also has deep MCU ties. He played Raza, the terrorist leader who kidnapped Tony Stark in Iron Man (2008), inadvertently pushing Stark toward becoming Iron Man.

Vision marks the second spinoff from WandaVision, following Disney+’s Agatha All Along, which stars Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, and more. Marvel is clearly committed to exploring more stories beyond its blockbuster films, expanding the MCU’s narrative through its Disney+ series.

With a mix of familiar faces and fresh talent, Vision is shaping up to be a must-watch for Marvel fans, offering another deep dive into the world of one of the franchise’s most intriguing characters.
