Ryan Reynolds opens up about mental health concerns

In a recent interview with ET, Ryan Reynold’s expresses his concerns on mental health and the importance of speaking out your troubles or seeking help.

Ryan Reynolds, the Deadpool actor, in a interview with ET opened up about his concerns relating to mental health and the stigmas people still hold in their minds.

On the occasion of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Economic Times conducted interviews with personalities who talk about their journey in dealing with mental health.

Ryan opened up about his personal experience with mental health and how he dealt with all the anxiety, the feeling alone and addressed other struggles with it publicly

He spoke about destigmatizing mental health and how important it is to share what is going on with you.  During the conversation, the actor said he is trying to be an ideal model for his 3 children, James, Inez and Betty and lay emphasis on mental health as an extremely important part of parenting.

Ryan Reynold grew up with his parents who weren’t exactly neglectful but were conventional and from a different generation when it came to mental health. He doesn’t want the same for his kids.

He time and again stressed on the importance of talking about your struggles, fear and anticipations. He says that talking about your troubles sets you free. Instead of constantly lamenting on your troubles, make an effort to discuss what you’re going through.
