Ryan Reynolds, the star of the popular Marvel franchise Deadpool, took to his Instagram Stories sharing a mysterious image that connects back to the red-suited anti-hero character.

The story that comes with no captions shows the picture of an office with a backpack on a table in front, that has a Deadpool mask peeking out of the bag.The picture also has white paper carefully positioned on a bag next to the backpack. Fans speculate that this white paper could be a part of the script or story treatment for the highly anticipated Deadpool 3 that is currently under development.

Although this can be considered as just another entertaining image of Ryan Reynolds carrying his Deadpool mask in public, which given the actor’s record does not seem surprising at all, the hype surrounding Deadpool joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future makes this a conspicuous act.

With Marvel President Kevin Feige confirming the existence of Deadpool 3 within the MCU, this picture can be considered as an announcement of sorts. Even though the image is barely a tease, it is enough to build early anticipation among fans before concrete news potentially coming soon.

However, Deadpool 3 has been kept under wraps for quite some time with no updates from the studio. Even during the announcement of several Marvel titles, there was no timetable set for the development or production of Deadpool 3. Currently, the only names we know that are attached to the third installment other than Ryan Reynolds are Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin, the writers of the hit animated series Bob’s Burgers who will be penning down the script for Deadpool 3.

With the previous two movies of the franchise grossing over $1.5 billion globally, fans have long anticipated the arrival of Ryan Reynolds’ katana-wielding foul-mouthed mutant. in the MCU. Deadpool 3 is currently in the early stages of production at Marvel Studios, and with the MCU schedule being wide open after mid-2023, fans expect to see the dates of the being announced soon.
