Sean “Diddy” Combs has been named in another sexual assault lawsuit, this time in New York, filed by a woman who is remaining anonymous, known only as Jane Doe. According to the lawsuit, the incident allegedly occurred in 2000 when the woman was just 16 years old and still in high school.
At the time, she lived with her parents in Lower Manhattan and worked as a babysitter in an apartment building where Combs’ romantic partner also lived. She claims she crossed paths with Combs and two men who worked for him in the same building. The lawsuit states that Combs kept offering her a ride home, even after she turned him down multiple times. Eventually, she agreed and got into his car.
The situation took a disturbing turn when she was driven to a different location instead of her home. The woman alleges that Combs then offered her a drink to “calm her down,” which made her feel disoriented and unsteady. She claims that after this, Combs sexually assaulted her.
This new lawsuit adds to a growing number of legal actions against Combs, who now faces more than 30 lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct. His legal team has strongly denied these allegations. They issued a statement saying that no number of lawsuits would change the fact that Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone.
They argue that anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason, but they are confident the legal process will reveal the truth and that Combs will be cleared of the charges. Currently, Combs is in the Brooklyn Detention Center awaiting a trial on federal sex crime charges scheduled for May. He has pleaded not guilty to all the accusations against him.
