Two women have filed lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexual assault in the late 1990s. The lawsuits, filed on February 4, 2025, in New York County’s Supreme Court, involve two women identified as Jane Doe, both of whom were active in the hip-hop industry at the time and had frequent interactions with Combs.
The first woman claims that Combs assaulted her in multiple states, including California, but the primary focus of her lawsuit is on incidents that allegedly took place in New York. One of the alleged assaults occurred at a party at Combs’ home in The Hamptons, where she was hired for bottle service. She claims she felt disoriented after drinking and alleges that Combs’ associates assaulted her while he was present and nude. She also mentions that the assault may have been recorded but that Combs refused to delete the footage.
Another alleged incident took place in New York City at the Limelight nightclub, where she claims Combs prevented her from leaving. She says he then took her and a friend to the Trump Hotel, where they were allegedly held against their will, drugged, and forced to participate in group sex. She further claims she was sexually assaulted for hours before being allowed to leave the following morning.
The second Jane Doe accuses Combs of similar actions, including physical and sexual assault. She also attended the Limelight party and alleges that Combs watched as she was assaulted. She too claims that she and a friend were drugged and forced into group sex.
Both women are suing Combs under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. They seek compensatory damages for physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, humiliation, and other trauma. Additionally, they are requesting punitive damages and attorneys’ fees.
Combs’ legal team issued a statement strongly denying the allegations, calling them “ridiculous” and “demonstrably false.” The statement reiterated that Combs has confidence in the judicial process, asserting that he has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone.
The lawsuits were filed on the same day another accuser, a male musician, came forward with allegations that Combs drugged him in 2015 and performed oral sex on him. Combs is currently incarcerated at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center on charges of sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
