In a podcast outtake, Jason reminisced about his first time watching the popular vampire saga and tackled the age-old question: Team Edward or Team Jacob? His answer? Neither—he was Team Jacob needs to get a life.
Laughing, he called out the werewolf played by Taylor Lautner, saying, “I just felt bad for Jacob. [Bella] was so not into him, and he was just lurking around.” He had initially expected an intense back-and-forth between Bella and both love interests, only to realize Edward (Robert Pattinson) had her heart from the start. “I thought it was gonna be this dramatic tug-of-war, but she was never into Jacob; she was into [Edward] the whole time,” he admitted.
Then came the moment that truly threw him for a loop—Jacob’s infamous imprinting on Bella and Edward’s daughter, Renesmee, in Breaking Dawn. Jason saw this as nothing more than a continuation of Jacob’s heartbreak, calling it “a sad story for Jacob.”
