Was Gene Hackman on Epstein’s list?

Yesterday, Attorney General Pam Bondi hinted during an interview with Fox News that we might soon see the full release of a massive set of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. This could include flight logs, names of individuals connected to him, and other sensitive information. If that happens, it could lead to a wave of shocking revelations about Epstein’s network and those who may have been involved with him.

In what some might call an eerie coincidence, the news of legendary actor Gene Hackman’s passing broke around the same time. According to the Associated Press, Hackman, 95, was found dead in his New Mexico home alongside his wife, Betsy Arakawa (63), and their pet dog. Given the timing, some people online started wondering whether Hackman had any ties to Epstein.

Was Gene Hackman on Epstein’s list?

No—there is no known connection between Gene Hackman and Jeffrey Epstein. When court records related to Epstein were unsealed in January 2024, Hackman’s name was not on the list. However, high-profile figures like Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump were mentioned, with Trump reportedly instructing Bondi to review the list and its details.

The list also included some major Hollywood stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Spacey, George Lucas, Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis, Cameron Diaz, and Chris Tucker. However, just because someone was named in the records doesn’t mean they were involved in Epstein’s crimes. The list also contained names of Epstein’s victims, individuals who crossed paths with him in unrelated ways, and even people who helped expose his crimes.

For example, investigative journalist Vicky Ward and former detective John Connelly, both of whom worked on uncovering Epstein’s activities, were also named in the documents.

Jeffrey Epstein was accused of running a sex-trafficking ring involving underage victims, with operations in Florida and New York that reportedly spanned over a decade starting in 1994. He was first investigated in 2005 but managed to avoid serious federal charges, serving just 18 months in jail and registering as a sex offender in 2009.

In 2019, he was arrested on new federal charges after a bombshell investigation by the Miami Herald exposed his crimes. However, before he could stand trial, he died in his jail cell under what officials ruled as a suicide—a conclusion that remains controversial to this day.

Initially, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department said there were no signs of foul play, but later reports from TMZ suggested that detectives have labeled the deaths as “suspicious.”

What makes the situation even stranger is that Hackman and his wife were found in different rooms, and prescription medications were discovered scattered on a countertop near Arakawa. Authorities also checked the home for carbon monoxide leaks, but no issues were found.

Hackman was one of Hollywood’s most respected actors, known for classics like The French Connection, Unforgiven, and Superman. Over his decades-long career, he won two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, and two BAFTAs. His final film before retirement was Welcome to Mooseport in 2004.

While his passing is heartbreaking, the circumstances remain unclear. With ongoing investigations, more details may emerge in the coming days.
