What Does Dafne Keen Think of Making a Return to MCU as X-23 After Deadpool & Wolverine?

Dafne Keen has once again captured the spotlight with her return as X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine, a role she first portrayed in the 2017 hit Logan. Teaming up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, her comeback has fueled fan speculation about whether she will have a bigger presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As it turns out, Keen herself is just as eager to continue playing Laura. In a recent interview with Collider, the young actress enthusiastically confirmed her interest in reprising the role, saying, “100%.” She also shared the unforgettable moment when director Shawn Levy called to invite her back into the franchise.

“It was one of the greatest moments of my life. I dropped my phone in the bathtub. I was screaming,” Keen recalled, adding that she immediately hopped on a FaceTime call with Levy to discuss Laura, a character she has been deeply connected to for years.

She went on to explain that ever since playing X-23 in Logan, she had been hoping for another chance to step into Laura’s shoes. The opportunity to reunite with Hugh Jackman made the experience even more exciting.

In Deadpool & Wolverine, Keen’s X-23 joined forces with Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Channing Tatum’s Gambit, and Wesley Snipes’ Blade in an action-packed multiversal showdown. While her fate in the final battle remains ambiguous, the limitless possibilities of the MCU’s multiverse leave the door wide open for her return.
