In a recent episode of The Squeezed Podcast, Taylor Lautner’s wife, also named Taylor, shared a deeply personal experience about her fertility journey. On the January 29 episode, which she co-hosts with her husband, the couple discussed her decision to undergo a fertility test after hearing concerns from previous podcast guests.
The idea to undergo a fertility test came after the couple hosted OBGYN Dr. Thais Aliabadi and advocate Mary Alice Haney on the podcast. During their discussion, Dr. Aliabadi raised concerns about Taylor’s long-term use of birth control without taking any breaks. She warned that this could potentially affect her egg supply, telling Taylor, “You could, like, not have any eggs right now.”
Despite the initial worry, Taylor revealed that her fertility test came back with positive results, showing that she still had “a lot of eggs.” This news came as a relief to her, especially after the concerns raised by Dr. Aliabadi. Taylor expressed her gratitude and relief, stating, “By the grace of God, there’s a lot.” She shared that the whole experience provided her with reassurance and alleviated some of the tension she had felt.
In the podcast, Taylor also opened up about her personal fears related to fertility. She shared that growing up as an only child, she had harbored fears about not being able to have children of her own. She reflected on how those fears had developed over time and how they influenced her thoughts as an adult.
Furthermore, Taylor discussed the broader issue many women face in relation to fertility. She acknowledged the societal pressures and how women often carry the burden of responsibility when it comes to conception. She noted, “It’s always our fault if we can’t get pregnant. Like, that’s on us,” shedding light on the struggles that many women experience in navigating societal expectations around fertility.
Through her openness on the podcast, Taylor Lautner’s wife continues to inspire others by sharing her personal experiences, sparking important conversations about fertility, pressures on women, and the challenges they face.
