Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has made a personal sacrifice ahead of his son Junaid Khan’s debut film Loveyapa, set to release on February 7, 2025. At the trailer launch of the film yesterday, Aamir revealed that he has quit smoking, regardless of the film’s outcome, as a gesture of support and positivity for his son’s new journey.
Speaking candidly, Aamir shared, “I’ve been smoking for years, but it’s not good for health. Kisi ko nahi karna chahiye. I’m happy to say I’ve given up this bad habit.” He further urged others to quit smoking, emphasizing its harmful effects. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor called it a “sacrifice” he wanted to make as a father, adding, “I promised myself I’d quit, whether the film succeeds or not. Aap log bhi prarthna kariye, dua kariye (Please pray and send your blessings).”
Loveyapa, directed by Advait Chandan, pairs Junaid with Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late Sridevi. The trailer, released on January 10, offers a glimpse of a quirky Gen Z romance where Gaurav (Junaid) and Baani (Khushi) face an unusual trust test when their families swap their phones before marriage.
The film also stars Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, and Kiku Sharda in key roles. With Aamir Khan’s heartfelt gesture and the trailer generating buzz, Loveyapa promises to be an exciting watch for fans.
