Ahsoka Season 2 recently witnessed new development as a major casting update

Rory McCann, known for his iconic portrayal of The Hound in Game of Thrones, is set to join the Ahsoka series in its second season. McCann will take on the role of Baylan Skoll, a character previously portrayed by Ray Stevenson. Unfortunately, Stevenson passed away in May 2023, leaving the role open for recasting.

Baylan Skoll is a former Jedi turned mercenary and one of the main antagonists in the first season of Ahsoka. His character was seen working alongside Morgan Elsbeth and the Nightsisters as they searched for Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Although Ahsoka fans are excited about McCann’s casting, no official directors or start dates for the new season have been announced. However, it’s speculated that production may begin around April 2025. The show’s showrunner had previously mentioned that the character of Baylan Skoll’s future was still under consideration following Stevenson’s tragic passing.
