Hrithik Roshan recently shared rare behind-the-scenes photos from the sets of the iconic 1995 film Karan Arjun as it re-released in cinemas. The actor, who worked as an assistant director on the film, posted two throwback pictures featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. The first image showed Hrithik standing between the two Khans, with Salman placing a hand on his shoulder. The second shot captured the actors in their Bhangra Paa Le costumes while flying a kite.
In the caption, Hrithik remarked that he resembled a “young Kabir,” referencing his character from the YRF Spy Universe, fueling hopes of a future crossover between his character and those from Tiger and Pathaan.
Hrithik also recalled a memorable experience from the original Karan Arjun release. He described how, as an assistant, he and fellow assistant Anurag screened the print of the film at Minerva theater, only to find the print dark and dull. They arranged for it to be cleaned, with the theater manager noting it was the first cleaning in 15 years.
Additionally, Hrithik shared a humorous anecdote about stopping Shah Rukh and Salman from leaving the set during the Bhangra Paa Le shoot. He jumped on the bonnet of their car to prevent them from heading to Delhi, ensuring the shoot would proceed as scheduled.
Reflecting on his time as a 17-year-old on set, Hrithik called watching the two actors perform a “practical acting school,” acknowledging the invaluable lessons learned. Karan Arjun is currently playing in theaters again.
