The buzz around her possible return gained more attention after actress Cynthia Erivo mentioned Leakes during an interview with W Magazine. Erivo, a fan of Leakes, said, “Bring her back, please. She’s great.” Leakes, touched by the praise, shared that she had received messages from multiple people about what Erivo had said, expressing how much she appreciated the love. She also revealed that she totally agreed with Erivo’s sentiment, noting that many people, including big-name celebrities, still follow The Real Housewives of Atlanta and enjoy the show.
Leakes was a central figure on RHOA for seven seasons, and while she initially left the show before Season 8, she made occasional returns, including a notable appearance on the Housewives of Jamaica trip and later in Seasons 10 through 12.
