Pauline Chalamet, Timothée Chalamet’s sister, has stirred up some political tension with her outspoken views on billionaires and wealth inequality, which has led some fans to speculate about her thoughts on Timothée’s relationship with Kylie Jenner.
Last year, Pauline reposted a message from Democratic politician Melanie D’Arigo that criticized the disparity between how college graduates and CEOs are taxed, particularly calling out how CEOs can write off luxury items like private jets and yachts as business expenses. Given Kylie Jenner’s status as a billionaire and the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics, it didn’t take long for fans to suggest that Pauline’s post might be aimed at Kylie, who is often criticized for her environmental impact, including her private jet emissions.
More recently, Pauline took to Instagram to reshare a tweet from Bernie Sanders that criticized the political power held by billionaires, further emphasizing her stance against the accumulation of extreme wealth. She added her own comment about the flawed system that allows billionaires to avoid paying taxes, implying that figures like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg have too much influence on politics, something she believes is undemocratic.
These posts have fueled theories that Pauline may not be fond of Kylie’s wealth, although she hasn’t explicitly addressed her brother’s relationship with the makeup mogul. However, Timothée and Kylie have continued to go about their relationship unaffected by the online chatter, most recently spotted together in Paris on January 16, where Timothée treated Kylie to a night out while promoting his film A Complete Unknown. They also attended the Golden Globes together earlier in January.
