Jesy Nelson, former member of Little Mix, is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Zion Foster. The couple, who have been together since January 2022, shared the joyful news on Sunday, January 12. In a joint statement, they announced what seems to be a twin pregnancy, with Nelson humorously saying, “She’s eating for three now.” They posted a maternity photo of Nelson wearing a white sports bra and camouflage pants that highlighted her baby bump, while Foster lovingly rested his hands on her belly. Nelson also shared the image on her Instagram Stories, accompanied by two baby emojis, further hinting at the twins.
Her friends and fans celebrated the announcement in the comments. Laura Whitmore, former host of Love Island UK, congratulated Nelson, saying, “Massive congrats! The best thing in the world xx.” Dancer Aron Pring also shared his excitement, writing, “You deserve every happiness, Jesy! Congratulations.”
Nelson, 33, and Foster, 26, have been a couple for just over two years. They also collaborated on a duet titled Mine in August 2024. Interestingly, in an October 2021 interview with Glamour UK, Nelson had expressed uncertainty about becoming a mother. At the time, she said, “No, I don’t want children. It’s just not in me,” explaining that she had never felt a maternal instinct. She also mentioned that even in her most loving relationships, she never felt the desire to have a baby.
Jesy gained fame as a member of the British girl group Little Mix, formed on The X Factor UK in 2011. She was the first member to leave the group, announcing her departure in December 2020. The remaining members of Little Mix went on an indefinite hiatus in 2024.
Nelson’s pregnancy marks a milestone as she becomes the third member of Little Mix to become a mother. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 33, is a mother to 3-year-old twin daughters with her husband Andre Gray, and Perrie Edwards, 31, shares a 3-year-old son, Axel, with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Pinnock and Edwards were both expecting children around the same time.
