Actress Kitu Gidwani recently shared her experience of working with Aamir Khan in the 1984 film Holi, directed by Ketan Mehta. During a podcast with Siddharth Kannan, Kitu revealed that Aamir, then a newcomer, was nervous while performing a kissing scene in the movie.
“Back then, Aamir Khan was nobody. It was the beginning of his journey. He was very humble and sweet,” she recalled. Describing the moment, she said, “When it came to our kissing scene, he was as nervous as I was. He was a simple actor like us.”
Kitu also shared how she bagged her role in Holi, revealing that Ketan Mehta approached her while she was acting in student films. Her role was brief, portraying a “sexy girl on campus.”
Looking back on her career, Kitu recounted meeting Aamir at filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s party for Fashion in 2008. During their conversation, Aamir praised her performance in their 1998 film Earth. Kitu expressed hope that the superstar might consider her for a future role.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is gearing up for his next project, Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Directed by R. S.
