Actor Priyanka Chopra is rumored to be making her much-anticipated return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, SSMB 29. While the actor has been dropping hints, her mother, Madhu Chopra, recently addressed the speculation in an interview with Lehren Retro.
When asked about Priyanka’s involvement in SSMB 29, Madhu Chopra subtly confirmed the rumors, stating, “Vahin shooting pe hain voh”(She is shooting the film). She also nodded in agreement when the interviewer mentioned that Priyanka is currently in Hyderabad for the shoot.
Speculation about Priyanka’s role in SSMB 29 intensified after she shared a video documenting her journey from Toronto to Hyderabad, with Roar of RRR playing in the background. Upon arriving, she posted images from the Chilkur Balaji Temple in Telangana, hinting at a new beginning. On Instagram, she wrote, “With the blessings of Shri Balaji, a new chapter begins… God’s grace is infinite.”
Despite these clues, neither Priyanka nor the makers of SSMB 29 have officially confirmed her involvement.Directed by SS Rajamouli and written by his father, Vijayendra Prasad, SSMB 29 is described as an action-adventure film inspired by Indiana Jones. The project was officially launched in Hyderabad with a pooja ceremony in January, but the filmmakers have kept Mahesh Babu’s look and other key details under wraps.
