Malaika Arora strikes John Abraham’s signature ‘Dostana’ pose

In her latest Instagram photos, Malaika Arora poses in her trainers, flexing her post-COVID fitness.

Malaika Arora posted a treble of photos on Instagram in her training clothes. In the side looks, we see a glimpse of her butt along with her perfectly toned body. The awesome detail is that it’s her “post COVID” body.

Remember Dostana? When John Abraham gave us a butt peek-a-boo in his yellow trunks. Malaika’s latest post is the feminine equivalent of that.

Captioned, “What defines strength? “You’re so lucky”, “It must have been so easy” is something I hear regularly. Well yes, I am grateful for a lot of things in my life. But luck played a very small role in it. And easy!? Boy! That, it was not. I tested positive on the 5th of September and it was really bad. Anyone out there calling a COVID recovery easy is either blessed with great immunity or isn’t aware of the struggles of COVID . Having gone through it myself, “Easy” is not the word I’d choose. It broke me physically. Walking 2 steps felt like a herculean task. Sitting up, just stepping out of bed, wanting to stand in my window was a  journey in itself. I gained weight, I felt weak, lost my family and more. I finally tested negative on the 26th of September and I was so grateful I did. But the weakness stayed. I felt disappointed that my body wasn’t supporting how my mind felt. I was afraid that I’d never gain back my strength. I wondered whether I’d even be able to complete one activity in 24 hours.”

Having the most chiselled body in B-town, when John stated at an event, “The backside makes me feel comfortable when I sit down. Like someone said it’s always good to work the lower part of your body as much as you work the upper part of your body and I think I concentrate on that a lot and that’s why I think I have got a strong foundation including a very strong posterior.”

However, the two-actor models didn’t have it easy. As Malaika further elaborated in the caption about how “brutal” her post-COVID workout was. But, she never lost hopes. Now, after 32 weeks since she tested COVID negative, she has regained her full efficiency at the gym.

Meanwhile, John Abraham had been quoted saying, “I’m often asked what my particular workout is. Well, very honestly, my regime changes all the time, depending on the look I am trying to achieve for my current film. My workout for Force, for example, was very intensive, lifting heavy weights to build maximum muscle mass. For Race 2 I had to be a convincing cage fighter, so the emphasis shifted to a more chiselled look encompassing flexibility and agility. For Madras Café I have to be lean and mean, so lots of cardio and interval training have come into play.”

The 47-year-old actor concluded the caption, “The four-letter word that pushed me through was HOPE. The hope that it’s all going to be okay, even when it feels like it’s not okay. ”

She showed her gratitude to everyone ” who has been sending her messages, DMs and inspiring stuff which kept her spirits high.”

In the end, she prayed “that the world recovers as well and we all come out of this together. I came out of this phase with 2 words. GRIT & GRATITUDE” She especially thanked Sarvesh Shashi, her YOGA Guru.
