With the release of his brand-new album, “Utopia”, Travis Scott is creating quite a stir.
His song Meltdown appears to have started some rumours. Fans believe that Travis Scott may have made a fun dig at Timothée Chalamet, who is rumoured to be Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, in one of his songs. Social media users believe that Travis is referencing Timothée with a Willy Wonka reference in one particular song, Meltdown, a collaboration with Drake.
Travis begins his verse by saying, “Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs / Got the Willy Wonka factory,” and then he raps, “Burn an athlete like it’s calories / Find another flame hot as me, b****.” Fans couldn’t help but draw connections, particularly given that Timothée Chalamet will portray the well-known figure of Willy Wonka in the upcoming movie Wonka, due out in December.
Some Twitter followers couldn’t believe what they were hearing because the song’s lyrics seemed to refer to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. As the news spread on social media, fans and followers were ready to express their opinions. One Twitter user tweeted, “Never in my life would I’ve thought to witness Travis Scott dissing Timothée Chalamet.” A another person responded, “Listening to Meltdown again lmfao why Travis dissing Timothee.”
Naturally, several viewers found humour in the circumstance; one clever remark read, “I mean…thanks for the Wonka promo I guess.” While some listeners are persuaded that Travis is making fun of Timothée, lyrics in song frequently entail artistic expression and can be read in a variety of ways.
It’s certainly possible that the lines are just clever wordplay and aren’t actually directed at anyone in particular.
