Cody Walker, brother of late Paul Walker, thanked Vin Diesel and others in the Fast and Furious franchise for doing a really good job of tastefully paying a tribute to the late actor’s character from the franchise, Brian O’Conner. Walker also mentioned that Paul would never have imagined the franchise coming so far along the line, and also said he thinks Vin Diesel, who starred along with Paul Walker in the Fast and Furious movies, and the rest of the franchise made the right move by letting the character ride off into the sunset and honoring Paul’s legacy in the upcoming Fast and Furious movie which would be the 9th installment in the franchise.
Speaking to TMZ about the upcoming installment, Cody recalled Paul’s involvement with the franchise from the very first installment – The Fast and The Furious, which released in 2001 starring the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriquez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, and Ted Levine. Cody remembered how he was in middle school when the first movie came out and credited his love for cars to the movie and his brother who acted in it. He also mentioned late Paul Walker’s orange 1994 Toyota Supra which will be going up for auction later this month.
Paul was best known for his character Brian O’Conner of the franchise and became a household name gaining worldwide recognition from the movie. The celebrated actor had also appeared in the television soap opera ‘The Young and The Restless’ in the early 1990s. The young actor died in an unfortunate car accident on November 30, 2013, in California, USA. Although not on the sets of production, Paul passed away in between the production schedule for Furious 7 which was happening at the time. Cody and Caleb Walker, brothers of the actor, had stepped in during the time to help finish their brother’s remaining parts of the shoot as Brian O’Conner for the movie. As per TMZ, the script of the next installment mentioned Paul’s character a number of times throughout the movie.
