Suriya’s Karuppu slows down on day 12 but crosses Rs 183 crore mark in India

On the second Tuesday, Karuppu made about Rs. 4.75 crore at the Indian box office. Business saw a noteworthy decline of almost 30% from Monday, which is a little steep, but Monday continued to be very robust, so perhaps it is simply stabilizing. Tuesday is still a decent hold in comparison to Friday. It’s still unclear why Monday went so well.

Even though it’s not generally the case this early in the run, there might have been some spillover demand from the weekend. The Suriya-starring movie’s twelve-day total box office receipts are about Rs. 182.75 crore. It is expected to reach Rs. 63–65 crore in the second week, bringing it close to Rs. 195 crore at the conclusion of two weeks.

Yesterday, the movie made about Rs. 3.25 crore in Tamil Nadu. In the second week’s daily collections, it was ahead of Vikram for three days before falling behind yesterday. It remains to be seen if it succeeds in gaining traction. It is still on track to earn Rs. 150 crore in its whole run, but it would not be able to reach Rs. 175 crore if it remains under Vikram.

In the Telugu state, the movie is also doing well; the second week is expected to bring in more than Rs. 9 crore. If it continues to do well into the third week, the entire run will clear Rs. 30 crore, potentially Rs. 35 crore.
