The new comedy You’re Cordially Invited isn’t just bringing together the hilarious duo of Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell—it also features a surprise cameo from Nick Jonas that adds an extra dose of entertainment.
In the film, Jonas plays Luther, a young pastor with an effortlessly charming and laid-back personality. Witherspoon’s character enlists him to officiate her sister Neve’s wedding, with Meredith Hagner playing the bride-to-be. According to Decider, Jonas’ character exudes an air of self-importance while maintaining “chill vibes,” making for a memorable appearance.
During his brief but impactful cameo, Jonas treats the audience to a short rendition of With Arms Wide Open, the 1999 hit by Creed. Though he only sings a few lines, he makes sure to deliver them with full passion. However, just as the performance builds, disaster strikes—the dock where the ceremony is taking place collapses, plunging everyone into the lake. Drenched and clearly unimpressed, Jonas’ character grumbles about not getting the chance to perform his second song before making his exit.
At the heart of the film is a chaotic wedding clash. Ferrell’s character, a devoted single dad, is determined to give his daughter the perfect wedding. However, things take a wild turn when he discovers that the venue has been double-booked by Witherspoon’s character, who is equally committed to throwing her sister the dream ceremony. Reluctantly, the two agree to share the space, setting the stage for a series of unpredictable and hilarious moments.
Released on January 30, 2025, You’re Cordially Invited is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, offering a fun-filled wedding comedy packed with laugh-out-loud moments and unexpected surprises.
