Priyanka Chopra’s outstanding performances in a number of foreign productions have propelled her to global prominence. While Bollywood fans miss her presence in Hindi films, the actress lately sparked enthusiasm among fans by giving huge indications about a possible comeback. She also pondered on why she is ‘picky’ about her roles.
In a recent interview with Forbes India, Priyanka Chopra was asked about her experience working in Bollywood and Hollywood. Drawing a contrast between the two industries, the Desi Girl remarked that the fundamentals of filmmaking are the same around the world, consisting of a script, ADs, and producers.
PC emphasised the “cultural difference,” stating that Hollywood is considerably more organised and includes a lot of paperwork. She mentioned that one receives 100 emails before to the shoot, and timings may be unique depending on one’s wrap time. Whereas in Bollywood, the actress noted that there is a “lot more jugaad (hack)” to complete the task.
She emphasised a “little romantic” and casual style, which is also characteristic of the countries themselves. The actress mentioned the unusual style of working, emphasising how creativity can be very organic at times. When asked if she misses working with ‘jugaad’, the actress openly confessed that she misses dancing in slow motion and conversing in Hindi or another language.
“I am telling everyone to come to me with something right. “I’ve been reviewing a lot of scripts, and I’m hoping to finalise something soon,” she stated.
The actress, who is still ‘picky’ about her jobs, cited her nearly 25-year career as the reason.
She stated that it is “high time” she be selective about them. Priyanka Chopra last appeared in Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink, which was released in 2019. Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf, and Zaira Wasim played important roles in the film as well.
PC is presently filming the second season of her action-spy series Citadel. She is frequently spotted posting snippets from her shoot diaries on social media. In addition, she has The Bluff and Heads of State in the works.
