The Los Angeles wildfires have not only endangered human lives but also put countless animals at risk. Amid the destruction, some unsung heroes have stepped up to help, and one of them is actor William McNamara. Known for his roles in Doing Time on Maple Drive and Dream a Little Dream, McNamara has been actively involved in rescuing animals from the devastating fires.
Through his Instagram, McNamara has shared over 1,000 videos documenting his efforts to save pets and farm animals. In these clips, he can be seen searching through the wreckage, finding lost animals, and reassuring their owners that their beloved pets have been found and are safe.
One memorable video shows McNamara at a ranch, helping to secure chickens, goats, pigs, and even beautiful peacocks, as he works tirelessly to find them shelter from the flames. In the caption of the video, he wrote, “Chickens, goats, pigs, peacocks, oh, and we started with the horses,” highlighting the variety of animals he and his team have been working to protect.
While rescuing animals, McNamara also encountered AC, a well-known animal rescuer, and his colleagues Maya and Kalli from Viva Global Rescue. Together, they evacuated two cats and continued their efforts to save as many animals as possible. McNamara shared in his captions that, despite the chaos, he had voluntarily chosen to stay behind and help animals, even urging his followers not to call 911, as he had taken it upon himself to assist in the rescue efforts.
His selflessness and determination have made a significant impact in the midst of the tragedy, providing much-needed hope and comfort to pet owners and animals alike.
