Singham Again is having an incredible run at the box office, breaking into the Rs. 100 crore club within its first weekend of release. Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty recently expressed their feelings, saying that while the collecting figures are noteworthy, what matters most is the audience’s affection.
As per Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn was questioned in their interview if he feels overpowered by the figures and how he feels about his movie Singham Again joining the esteemed Rs. 100 crore club. The actor responded by saying that while audience acceptance and affection are more significant, numbers are still crucial. As a result, when a movie is well-liked by viewers, the statistics don’t mean much.
He quoted, “As numbers are concerned, they are important, but I think the most important thing is, like Rohit also said, that we survive on acceptability and love from the audiences, so when you get that, then you do not tend to go towards numbers, and that’s what you want.”
However, when Singham Again broke into the Rs. 100 crore film category, director Rohit Shetty said he talked about it with his crew. They therefore recalled that in the past, it took four or five weeks to collect the figure for their films, such as Golmaal 3. However, they no longer feel content even after reaching the three-day mark.
Rohit said, said, “As sir (Ajay Devgn) said, you know, after a point or you said like after a point it (numbers) comes, so actually that will happen once you grow up and the brand becomes bigger and so that will happen yeah you have to live with that.”
The Singham franchise’s highest-grossing movie is now Singham Again. Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff are the main characters.
