Mayim Bialik recently reunited with her The Big Bang Theory co-star Melissa Rauch on NBC’s Night Court, which has sparked a wave of speculation about a possible Big Bang Theory revival. In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Bialik expressed her excitement at the idea of revisiting her role as Amy Farrah Fowler. While she has no concrete plans, she emphasized that she would be thrilled to return if the opportunity ever arose. Bialik stated, “There’s a lot of interest and love for these characters, and I’d be super happy to get to revisit [it] in any way.”
She added that she holds great respect for the legacy of The Big Bang Theory and the unique experience of working on the show. “We all really have a lot of respect for the brand,” she said, underscoring her appreciation for what the show was able to achieve.
Kaley Cuoco, who played Penny, has also expressed a strong desire to return to her iconic role. In 2024, Cuoco revealed to People that she would “absolutely reprise that role. 100%. I love that character, and I always will.”
However, some cast members, including Kunal Nayyar and Melissa Rauch, have mixed feelings about a revival, at least in the near future. Rauch shared with Looper that she doesn’t think a revival right now would be a good idea, saying, “A revival right now — I’d be like, ‘Nah, I don’t think so.’ But 30 years from now, if someone came knocking on my door… never say never.”
Though Bialik and Cuoco have confirmed their interest in returning, a Big Bang Theory revival would depend on the full cast’s agreement, including key members Jim Parsons (Sheldon) and Johnny Galecki (Leonard). Until then, fans can enjoy all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory, which are available for streaming on Netflix.
